3 Secret Ways to Improve Ball Handling in Basketball

Ball handling in basketball cannot be underestimated, ball handling is one of the most important skill in the game. To improve ball handling you must practice ball handling drills. Some of the drills you need to practice can be done at home like when I try to practice basketball in Dubai. Having a good ball handling the rest of the skill comes to you like passing, shooting and catching because you will know where the ball going.

Here are some of the ways you need to practice to improve your ball handling.

1.      Tipping – Tip the ball back and forth from right hand to left hand, Start with your hand straight up over your head. Then move the ball down but continue tipping it back and forth until it reach your chest, next your waist, knees and ankle then repeat it. Let your elbow stretch and only the fingertips touch the ball.

2.      Circles – Close your feet and make circles around both legs, then circle around the back until it reach your head. Then repeat it and try to touch the ball by fingertips again.

3.      Around Each Leg – Put your one leg in front and move the ball, create circular movements around the leg also do in other leg. Don’t look at the ball instead keep your eyes forward and never let the ball touch the floor.
